Research consistently shows that exercising regularly, eating nutrient-dense, unprocessed foods, getting adequate sleep, and managing stress effectively are necessary for optimal health. With this in mind, I have helped hundreds of people implement strategies to make these health goals a reality in their daily lives. Health coaching can help you assess your current habits, identify shortcomings, and form strategies to make lasting and effective lifestyle changes. My approach centers on education and empowerment, and I strive to ensure that my clients always understand the research and logic behind any new strategies they may implement. Our interaction will be collaborative and goal-oriented, which often results in lasting change, versus the typical yo-yo dieting that so many of us have experienced at some point.
I may recommend strategies to incorporate any or all of the following:
Focus on food quality like the Paleo or Mediterranean diet
Focus on food quantity like macro tracking or visual estimation techniques
Specific intake focus on fiber, protein, sugar, vegetables, etc.
Focus on sleep quantity and/or quality
Exercise regimen like fitness classes, weightlifting, or team sports

During our interactions, I may ask you to record scale weight and body measurements, take progress pictures, undergo a body composition assessment, or seek the advice of a medical professional. At other times, I may suggest that you step away from the scale, put down the measuring cups, and learn to listen to your body's hunger and craving cues. My ultimate goal in partnering with you is to teach you progressive strategies to help you align your nutrition and lifestyle with the rest of your life so that you can look, feel and perform your best without having to weigh, measure, or stress about each morsel.
